He won't see it nor care if he does, but I am feeling better.

Lots of places that do photo printing have postcard options; just bring the image on a USB flashdrive, SD memory card or something of that sort. Some of the computerized printing kiosks even let you type in messages for the back of the postcard, like so:
"Dear Jimmy, Wish You Were Here!"
