Seriously, I realize that I’ve become somewhat of a one-note-Johnny here on the subject of Newt, but I hate the way conservatives dis him and find him to be far and away the most compelling and substantive of all these people. And I say this recognizing he’ll never get the nod and I’ll likely get flamed.

Newt was clearly the class of the field tonight...he was engaged, combative, and full of ideas. He would completely slay Obama in any debate.

I've definitely gained renewed respect for Newt. As I mentioned on another thread, he has a didactic style and encyclopedic knowledge of history and politics that educates everyone when he speaks. I hope he stays in because he helps raise the National IQ during every debate.

Unfortunately, the media has done such a great Alinsky-style attack on him, he won't get the recognition he deserves.

He would make an exceptional Secretary of State (in a Cain Administration, of course!).
