What about Charles Manson?

"Dig It. First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them, they even shoved a fork into a victim’s stomach! Wild!"
-Weather Underground leader and wife of Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, referring to the Manson murders

"It was at the Chicago home of [Bill] Ayers and [Bernardine] Dohrn that Obama, then an up-and-coming 'community organizer,' had his political coming out party in 1995. Not content with this rite of passage in Lefty World — where unrepentant terrorists are regarded as progressive luminaries, still working 'only to educate' — both Obamas tended to the relationship with the Ayers."

Allies in War
By David Horowitz
FrontPageMagazine.com | Monday, September 17, 2001:

excerpt...

In 1969, Ayers and his wife convened a "War Council" in Flint Michigan, whose purpose was to launch a military front inside the United States with the purpose of helping Third World revolutionaries conquer and destroy it.

Taking charge of the podium, dressed in a high-heeled boots and a leather mini-skirt – her signature uniform – Dorhn incited the assembled radicals to join the war against "Amerikkka" and create chaos and destruction in the "belly of the beast."

Her voice rising to a fevered pitch, Dohrn raised three fingers in a "fork salute" to mass murderer Charles Manson whom she proposed as a symbol to her troops. Referring to the helpless victims of the Manson Family as the "Tate Eight" (the most famous was actress Sharon Tate) Dohrn shouted:

Dig It. First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them, they even shoved a fork into a victim’s stomach! Wild!..."

"Today William Ayers is not merely an author favored by the New York Times, but a Distinguished Professor of Education at the University of Illinois, Chicago.

His Lady Macbeth [Bernardine Dohrn] is not merely a lawyer, but a member of the American Bar Association’s governing elite, as well as the director of Northwestern University’s Children and Family Justice Center."

Actually, the Mongols were perfectly happy to let everyone live, provided they got their tribute.

And they made some wicked BBQ too!

I’d substitute Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot, for Oswald, Jack the Ripper, and Brutus. Ater all, this guys were just mon & pop store retail killers.

Not sure about Judas. He just killed One, but it was a Big One.

Then where do you put Fidel, Uncle Ho, Che, and the guys that have been in charge of North Korea recently?

This IS a lame list.

Good ol’ Lee WAS a left-wing loonie, though. That ought to give him extra credit. Still wouldn’t make the list.

It ain’t how many, but WHO that seems to count.

Look, for instance, at all the black preachers complaining about all the coverage pretty white girls get when they disappear, as compared, say with some honor student in an urban area.

Just for the record, Genghis is considered a hero in Asia, and Alexander WAS a monster.

Lee Harvey Oswald

Killed one national leader which lead to a peaceful transfer of power with no further mayhem. If you want an assassin on the list, then Gavrilo Princip is a far better choice. Millions died and four empires collapsed because of who he shot.

Saddam Hussein - He won’t be on the list if you make it 20 years from now, so he shouldn’t be on it now.

Vlad the Impaler - Not even remotely close. His fictional counterpart is infamous, but Vlad the Impaler is merely a footnote in the history books.

Getting rid of those two and putting Stalin and Mao on the list would be a great improvement.

Yes, he basically denied the magnitude of the killing fields, and described it as comparable to eliminating collaborators after WW II in France.

Here’s some quotes of his minimizing the deaths:

Now THAT is a list of infamy.

A paired list might feature people who did little direct harm, but the consequences were enormous. Gavrilo Princip killed one person, precipitating World War I (sixth deadliest conflict in history).

After all, Cassius was the ringleader. And another FReeper has noted some of the other Imperators. The list is actually quite long, as is the list of awful Byzantine Emperors.

And where is Mao?

Heh, thanks. :) It actually upset me as a kid when I found out that his throne-name is the same as Superman’s (I was a big Superman fan as a kid).
