LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Louisville woman is accused of leaving her four young children home alone.
Evelyn Smith is charged with four counts of wanton endangerment.
Metro police said the children are ages 1, 2, 4 and 5.
An arrest warrant said the 1-year-old was playing with a fork and had a sharp pork chop bone in his mouth.
Another child was eating cereal off the floor, police said, and the 5-year-old said she was the baby-sitter.
Police also said they found suspected crack cocaine in a shoebox on top of the refrigerator.
A not-guilty plea was entered for Smith Thursday.
Her bond was set at $5,000.

A sharp poke chop bone!?
But were they...

Holder’s...
People?
“The poor kid was so butt-ugly I reckon that was the only way he could get the dog to play with him,” said a deputy, who asked not to be identified.
Pork chops and crack. I’d say “Yes”.
And the father(s) were unencumbered by any of this.
They deserve better.
Doesn’t matter to her if she gets them back or not - she will just crank out four more.
For starters she should be forcibly sterilized.
Another child was eating cereal off the floor, police said, and the 5-year-old said she was the baby-sitter.
Some of these reasons are comical to those of us who grew up in earlier years. I would hate to think my parents would have gotten arrested because I played with the following as a child:
1. Gunpowder from shotgun shells.
2. Propane gas cylinders to shoot tennis cannonballs.
3. Axes, hatchets and very sharp knives.
Playing with a fork and pork chop bone? Please.
How much welfare, SSI, Medicaid and food stamps does one get for 4 kids? For 8? Is there a limit? Isn’t it cheaper in the long run (considering, for example, the cost of ultimate incarceration of many of them) and more humane for society to just take them away at birth, raising them in orphanage settings and foster homes?
Correction. Breeder leaves 4 children at home unsupervised.
