“So, you are basically saying the bad guys won ?”

I didn't say that at all.

I said Palin’s family is reluctant to get into the race & I would agree with that reluctance. I believe SP loves her family very much, especially that little boy. A campaign now would be a terrible strain on the whole family, especially that little boy. There is plenty of time for SP to be President, but little time for family. If she chooses family, I will not fault her.

I also said the MSM attacks failed, so they went silent re. SP. That doesn't mean she lost any war with the MSM. IMO, the MSM surrendered. Their attacks failed with the above 70 IQ crowd. Now the MSM focus is rightly on the declared candidates.

I don't think SP was especially damaged by the MSM attacks. The MSM loses credibility & audience by the day. The Left is losing on all fronts recently, & SP is partly responsible, making her a continuing winner.

Have patience. Sometimes the winning strategy is to WAIT until the time is right to strike. Perhaps this is not the time, either politically or personally.

That is correct and her time to decide is coming soon.

“Romney got bumped off by Perry.”

Not quite, but Perry is leading. It’s a 2-man race essentially, Perry vs Romney.

The rest are now also-rans.

Is this not a tacit admission that Palin can’t take the heat and criticism?

No, just a tacit admission on your part that you are a Perrysite troll and disruptor.

Let me know when Perry has national-level talk show hosts and late-night comedy shows joking in public as part of the act before a live camera, on the air, about incest in his family, or his underage daughters getting pregnant by a statutory rape by a professional athlete in between innings of a baseball game.

I didn't Mr. Swaggering he-man Perry defending her: he was sucking his thumb under the dining room table hoping the press wouldn't notice him as well.

Nor for that matter did I see a single comment from you defending her.

Cheers!

You wrote: “Sarah has the perfect opportunity at 10 pm on Gretta, moments from now, what will she have to say about the shots for young girls? This will be very telling, trust me.”

You nailed it! She had a lot to say about Governor Perry, Merck and the Executive Order about giving the shots to the school girls. It was damaging to Perry... very damaging.

I’m surprised that Greta was not aware of the Perry Chief of Staff - Merck connection and the “crony capitalism” aspect of the Executive Order. I wonder, don’t these talking heads like Greta have staff to do research ahead of these debates?

Here ya go straight from Alaska...

An expensive new vaccine that prevents cervical cancer will be available free to thousands more Alaska girls than previously announced, thanks to increased federal aid.
The state Department of Health and Social Services said Monday it will have enough money to distribute the vaccine Gardasil to at least 27,000 girls between the ages of 9 and 18.
State health officials said in April the shots would be provided free only to girls who were Alaska Native or American Indian, uninsured or...

And Perry got tired of the chump change available in Texas and is trying to head for D.C. where there's some serious cash.

As one of the Orcs in Lord of the Rings said:

"What d'you say? - if we get a chance, you and me'll slip off and set up somewhere on our own with a few trusty lads, somewhere where there's good loot nice and handy, and no big bosses."

Look at the debate, where Bachmann brought up the Gardasil.

Like the addled cretin he is, he tried to refute this by BRAGGING -- my God, BRAGGING -- about how much OTHER money he had in contributions. In other words, a bribe of $6000 for Gardasil is scarcely worth stooping to pick up: even if it isn't really *called* a bribe, it's still typical K-Street Pay-to-Play.

That torpedo over Gardasil, and the later one over the illegal aliens, are going to do serious damage to him.

The more so as he kept on trying to waggle his head in what he *thought* was a Reaganesque way, but instead of saying, "Well, there you go again..." it came out resembling "That's how WE do it in TEXAS, Boy-uh."

After all the Harvard arrogance of Teh One, people aren't going to go for Texan arrogance instead just because he's doing it "all by himself" without a teleprompter.

Cheers!

It is a bold face LIE to call something 'FREE' when the US taxpayers are without representation forced to PAY.

Patience, Grasshopper. There is a time to act. There is a time not to act. Wax on. Wax off.

Precisely.

YoungC, you need to read a bit of Sun Tzu to get up to speed on what she's doing. She's employing ancient strategic concepts which have withstood the test of time, my friend.

Patience. She will strike when the moment is hers.

Yes Sarah never let us down, was no question of it was there!

As for Gretta not knowing, you are correct! I knew all this for some time and so did you.

Then Bachmann follows talking about crony capitalism...Just as Sarah had said, she gets a kick out of people taking on her issues...I paraphrase

Bristol said that Michele tries to copy her mother.

I'm not going to pretend to understand all of your post, but I understand you don't like Perry because you think he's a crook.

Wrong-o, but thanks for playing!

Think John Belushi:

Cheeburger, cheeburger, cheeburger.

“No coke, Pepsi!”

If your favorite samurai deli, offers free pepsi, is that sort of the same as if they demand, nay, REQUIRE BY GOVERNMENT ORDER you drink pepsi?..

I’m really determined not to go all negative on the Perry people because I sincerely believe a combined ticket of Palin / Perry in either order, would be the strongest GOP ticket in the last 100 years.

But it gets difficult.

If you support Perry say so. Don’t be dishonest like a Romney troll.

Yeah, I like how she keeps the “conventional wisdom” off balance.

I don't much care whether the MSM reports on her or not, as I don't watch or read the MSM anyway. And I think SP is proving the MSM more irrelevant each day.

I’m trying to figure this one out ... So Gardasil was available to young girls in Alaska with taxpayer funding from Bush’s HHS and Palin’s State Govt of Alaska?

I currently support Perry, although I am by heart a Newt guy but the Tiffany’s thing ruined that.

I posted this because people seem to think Perry invented Gardasil, when in reality Gardasil was getting a nationwise push and was even available in Sarah Palin’s Alaska. Please note that I know Texas had an opt-out mandate, while Alaska merely “recommend” it. However, if it such a horrid vaccine, I believe the Governor of Alaska should have rejected such funding, don’t you?

You are a genius.

(And so, therefore, is she.)

I think she is exhausted by waiting, seeing how close a balance it is coming to with Perry surging, surging...will his warts be exposed in time to counteract his paid team's carefully positioning him on talk rooms and political sites as "The Inevitable One"...?

You mentioned her strategy of letting her two top rivals (who, you are right, would otherwise have combined their fire on you as the greatest threat) take each other out, is inspired.

G.K. Chesterton thought of it first.

Read his short story The sins of Prince Saradine.

Cheers!

You wrote: “Meanwhile, Palin has essentially driven the narrative via tweets, well-thought out FB postings (covering a wide array of issues) and game-changing speeches like the one in Indianola...”

All excellent points in your post... she is not only “shaping the battlefield” for her campaign, she’s shaping the debate.

If you watched Greta this evening, Newt mentioned Sarah’s speech in Iowa and highly praised it!

I will be very surprised if she does not run.

Yep. Huge push nationwide for Gardasil in that time frame, but not just in Texas...

Dunno.

Never even heard of the drug until about 2 months ago. Just pointing out, the central point would seem to this small-l libertarian Republican the threat of force.

Government mandates, are force. That’s where Perry crossed the line, and to his credit he admitted that.

I’m not trying to go after Perry, and thanks for clarifying - merely pushing back against what (as a Palin supporter) I see as an invalid comparison.

Imagine though, a combination ticket of the two...

Just saying.

Worth trying to keep the two from becoming adversaries.

And our two groups of reasonable people, from going at each other, losing sight of the real goal. :D
