INDIANAPOLIS -- Federal prosecutors in Indianapolis said a Maryland man accused of extorting teens into online sexual favors has agreed to plead guilty.

U.S. Attorney Joe Hogsett called a Wednesday afternoon news conference to discuss additional charges against 20-year-old Trevor Shea of Mechanicsburg, Md. Prosecutors filed three counts of sexual exploitation of children against Shea on Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Indianapolis. Shea already had faced a similar charge filed last year.

Court documents said the new offenses involving four girls occurred after Shea's initial arrest.

Federal prosecutors have coined a nickname for the crime: sextortion. Prosecutors said that's when an Internet predator seeks out and gains access to children and teenagers to sexually exploit and terrorize them.

Shea's attorney didn't immediately return a phone call seeking comment Wednesday.

Huh? I wonder just how he managed to do this over the internet. My guess is that he really didn’t extort anything but rather goaded some loose teenage women into flashing him. I don’t really see much of a crime here since these were probably not “children” but young adults that should know better but given the current culture that we live in this is just an every day occurrence for a lot of teenagers. We are living in a neo-pagan society so expect more of the same, sooner or later they pagans will gain the reins of power and make this type of stuff legal, God help us when that happens but it’s already cooked into the cake if you ask me. We’re just waiting for the frosting to be put on.

No matter how much pagans like to have sex, I would like to think that even they would think that extortion is wrong. It can happen to them too.

When morality and the underlying assumptions about behavior collapse, then the unthinkable becomes thinkable.

So even sexual extortion becomes something that people might not see anything wrong with. If they have no morals or values to start with, if they think any type of sex is okay, with any number and any gender of partner, then they might think sexual extortion is just a game.

Not saying I agre with that reasoning, but people without ethics values and morals think very differently than most of us do.
