And you do know, I would assume, that the negotiated exit fee was to be nowhere near the $22 mill you quoted.

Wonder how much of the Longhorn Network moola Texas loses, not to mention having to share revenues in the new conference.

For years, the University of Texas has had to kick money to the poorer schools in the Big 12 such as Kansas, Baylor, Iowa State and Texas A&M and I am sure they will now have to kick cash to Pac 16 schools.

This whole thing seems a bit like Socialism.

Texas is the most successful school and has to kick money to other Big 12 schools.

To earn a little bit more money for themselves the University creates the Longhorn Network in order to have some cash that will not have to share with those poorer schools and they Aggies, seeing that they are going to be cut off from the largess of Texas quits the Big 12.
