Tropical Storm Hilary could become a hurricane

Tropical Storm Hilary has strengthened in the Pacific south of Mexico and could soon become a hurricane.

Hilary's maximum sustained winds Thursday are near 70 mph (110 kph). The U.S. National Hurricane Center says Hilary could become a hurricane later in the day and could become a major hurricane by Saturday.

If it did turn and come our way, it would have to cross a lot of Mexico and be nothing more than a tropical storm by the time it hits.

It’s beautiful.

Bob Rose in his LCRA column said there’s some chance Hilary might bring us moisture, but ‘everything would have to line up perfectly’ or such.

It’s not like one more disappointment would kill us....

I sure hope we get some rain. I’ve been dragging hoses all over the lawn this morning. I need to a sprinkler system installed.

We got about 1/4” yesterday evening. Momma cat was scared by the thunder. The lightening started another fire at the Alamo movie set on Hamilton Pool Rd.
