Perry’s problem is immigration, not Gardisil. The next president won’t be choosen based on whether an executive that never went into effect was opt-in or opt-out. But saying the people you need to vote for you don’t have a heart is poisen. He needs to apoligize for using that language, at least.
He didn’t say that. What he said is that if you supported sending anchor kids to Mexico because their parents were illegal, even though they had probably never even been to Mexico, and they WERE legal, rather than try to give them the opportunity to get an education you were heartless. Probably a little strong language, but not as bad as people have spun it to be.
