No, just an average Joe that you said wouldn’t be punished. I just wanted to point out that people are being held accountable more often for crimes against animals now. I doubt this guy had anything to do with Vick. I live a county over from Pamlico, so this was a big story here, and it popped into my mind when you made the comment I responded to.
OK, that guy was ringleader. IIRC, the others involved with Vick turned states evidence and got lenient deals so the prosecutor could get a big prize convicting Vick.
Vick broke the law and was punished. All fine.
What I object to is the hatred, wishing him dead, etc. The thread stated 99.7% of Vick fans would like to kill dogs if they could get away with it? Just bizarre.
Also I object to people who react to animal deaths MORE strongly than to crimes against humans.
Finally, with all the abuse of animals, people and every other wrong in this World, I think those who bother to hate Michael Vick with such a passion are frankly attracted to his celebrity case just as much as his fans.
And yes, I think animals, unlike people, lack souls and I also think those that have no problem with hunting and slaughtering ofanimals by the zillions are misguided when they then decide they want to KILL someone over a dog.
To clarify further, touch my dog and you die. Hurting one’s own animal is not a crime I am ready to punish with imprisonment. And BTW Michael Vick was NOT imprisoned for dog killing.
Maybe not a fun position, but rational. IMHO
