Real Clear Politics ^ | September 29th 2011

Janeane Garofalo: "Herman Cain is probably well liked by some of the Republicans because it hides the racist elements of the Republican party. Conservative movement and tea party movement, one in the same.

"People like Karl Rove liked to keep the racism very covert. And so Herman Cain provides this great opportunity say you can say 'Look, this is not a racist, anti-immigrant, anti-female, anti-gay movement. Look we have a black man.'"

There is a really good article on Cain at the WSJ today.

Balanced, realistic, and very positive.

I think it concludes what all sensible conservatives (ie, all those not fanatically committed to a current non-candidate) are thinking right now: Cain deserves a serious look, and his presence in the race is nothing but positive!!!!

Projection. She's assuming her motivations for supporting Obama are the motivations of white supporters of Cain.

I love libs! They always accuse their enemies of precisely what they do.

This is so illogical. We’re “racist” so to cover up our “racism” we support a black candidate?

I have looked at Garafolo her whole body appears to be rotting slowly, from the inside out. The brain has already gone.

Only in Hollywood could she find work, she appears slovenly, dirty and unkempt. Her brain is the size of a gnats, but I suppose Hollywood needs these types as actors to. I believe that like a Bull dyke lesbians hates men, Garofolo hates being white. She is white -—isn't she? It's hard to tell with all those ugly tattoo's all over her.

When they call her an artist, they are dead wrong. she isn't an artist , she is a caricature canvas.

This is the same thing as when colder temperatures are said to be caused by global warming.

The artificial liberty enjoyed by the socialist is (the appearance of) having the freedom to make things up. In particular, to make a claim one day and then to make another claim another day which is based on the opposite premise of the first claim.

It’s intellectual relativism, illustrating how the mental slavery of leftism prohibits the leftist from having access to rational discourse.

Garafalo judges Herman Cain exclusively by the color of his skin. She offers no opinion on the content of his character.

Democrats. Go figure.

Hate speech? check

I just watched a documentary called “The F-bomb” which featured Garofalo. She talks about how she was “oppressed” during the Reagan years, but it was “even worse” under GW Bush. She was born in 1964! She was a teenager during the Reagan years. Exactly how was she “suppressed” back then, or during the Bush years? Did Bush put her in jail? Did he shut down her HBO specials? Did he audit her taxes? Did he even mention her once? Was her so-called “career” damaged in any way? As far as I remember, she spent the entire 8 years of Bush complaining about and attacking him.

The “racist” charge is so overdone that I don’t care anymore. But it simply doesn’t make sense.

It’s not like we have a black president or anything.
