No! That's wrong!
The Arctic is IS disappearing!
The Profit Algore has declared it to be so, and thus it is so.

Meanwhile, last year’s snowpack in the Rockies did not completely melt.

Springtime snowpack was extremely low across Siberia, which set the stage for thawing breezes to blow offshore toward the Arctic Oceans ice pack. This followed a freakishly warm winter part of last winters strong La Nina event over Greenland and eastern Canada, which left that typically frigid locale almost devoid of sea ice last season.Unfortunately, this winter may bring a repeat of La Nina though for us in the drought-plagued southwest though we hope it is not as dry and prolonged.

I can't say if it's normal or not but snowfall is seen on some of the
Spitsbergen webcams. Some of the links are not working but most are. The one at the airport on Ny-Alesund has had snow for a couple of days.
It's dark there now but in the morning you will see the snow.
It's the first snow I've seen this season.
| The Svlabard Archipelago is one of the northern most - if not the most northern most, inhabited areas on Earth.
How people live there, and other northern areas, fascinates me. For years I've watched the webcams from the North.

I dont doubt that climate changes, and I dont doubt that human activity is a factor, given the changes in our atmospheres composition and in land use patterns. but I question our ability to accurately model future climate trends when we have such an imperfect understanding of historical climate shifts. And I especially doubt our political and scientific readiness to respond to climate change in ways that also recognize that the human population is 7 billion and growing and that all those people need adequate food, clean water, suitable shelter, and ways to make a living, now and in the future.Pretty much my position on the issue. Thanks for posting.

Who the hell cares what the artic ice pack does. It is only an indicator of what is or has already has happened. Look at the history of little ice ages large ice ages ice ages blah blah blah. It has been cold in the past and not due to human intervention. Anyone who believes in global warming crap has got to have their head examined or they are out to steal your money, aka algore.
