INDIANAPOLIS -- A developing hole was found in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 465 between Ditch Road and Meridian Street during rush hour on Friday.
Authorities said at least eight vehicles have blown tires as a result of the hole.
At least one lane of traffic was blocked off, which caused massive delays.

Back in the late 1970’s when the Boy Wonder Dennis Kucinich was Mayor, the potholes on I-90 through Cleveland were so bad you could see the river through the rebar on several bridges.
There was a cop on patrol one night and when he drove under the Superior Avenue Bridge, his windshield exploded. He bailed out of the car thinking he was under fire, but in fact a chunk of concrete had just dropped out of the bottom of the roadway and hit his cruiser.
Kucinich told people there were over a million potholes in the City of Cleveland alone, there was no money to fix them, and they should stop complaining about it. Many people voted him into Congress just to get him out of Cleveland....
Shovel ready, baby!
What - no photo of the hole in question?
By standing on principle, Kucinich saved Cleveland consumers hundreds of millions of dollars in electric bills. The criminals who enmeshed CEI, Cleveland Trust and other banks mostly left town quickly, quietly and in disgrace. Cleveland Trust changed its name.
In 2008 as Congressman, Kucinich again blew the whistle on corruption in the City government and the County government. As a result the FBI has indicted and obtained guilty pleas from major figures who now are facing extended prison terms, with many more to come.
You can say what you want about Kucinich and his goofball causes but he has been arguably the most effective fighter against corruption in the state since the 1940's when Elliot Ness was Cleveland's Safety Director and cleaned up the mobs.
I like Dennis’s wife!
Looks like a new, super deep garbage dump just opened up.
“Everyone, toss your crap in now.”
It’d be filled in half an hour.
Thought I read somewhere that this hole is actually a tunnel that leads directly to Mexico. Perhaps 15 million Mexicans can check it out for us.
Yeah those government run enterprises (Cleveland Public Power aka Muny Light) really know how to save the taxpayers money.

Mel’s hole?
Indy is a very nice town. I moved here in 1982 and have never regretted it. Great place to raise my kids and now they are having grandkids here.
A good bit of that is due the UniGov that was developed by Dick Lugar. It has kept the city govt from being controlled by the entitlement crowd like it is in Cleveland, Detroit, etc.
It’s a fine town but it tries to be something it isn’t. Colts fans dump the team at the first sign of trouble, and we want public transit because other cities have it. Oh and we want to change the name of Georgia Streetjust because of the Super Bowl. But we do have the 500. I like that.
Is that from “Caves” of Planet Earth?
Thumbs up!
