Haven’t lost any income, but I drive a lot for my job, so have spent a lot more for gasoline. Investments and home values way down. Health insurance cost is up, up, up.
As Herman Cain said “ if you don’t have a job and you’re not rich, blame yourself.”
I really don’t care to share but I’ve gotta say -— the mental image of your “handle” makes me throw up in my mouth a little. Yucch!
Lost my job, but haven’t taken too much of a hit on the stock market. Husband had to go back to work, but he lost a bit in his portfolio.
when I mentioned my family of 7, I was referring to mom/dad and the other siblings. One brother lost at least 3 million in sales (he sells custom crafted/high end furniture in New Jersey)but since Zero took office, his business dropped about 95%!) we all knew this was gonna happen when Obama won,He has robbed most Americans of four years of their lives, look at it like Obama flushing four of your years down the toilet.
I moved to Texas in 2007. My income is up just over 50% since then.
You’ll not find me badmouthing the business climate in Texas.
It would be even better for everyone if we could drill here and drill now!
I WISH it were just 100k.

My income losses actually began at the point when the Democrats took control of Congress during Bush’s last term. My business was rocked so hard, that my family wound up living on the poverty line for the next few years.
It’s only recently that my wife and I have managed to claw our way back to something resembling a steady income. No thanks to Zero, I might add. We probably would have done it in less than half the time, had he not been elected.
Hard to say. Lost around $20,000 in the 401K, but household income has risen that much annually or a bit more. We’re some of the lucky ones that the recession didn’t hurt.
