This Is The Stuff That Sarah Is Right About

Senator Chris Dodd has a problem with all these over the counter contracts that trade around the globe without a central clearing place. He would love to see that all contractual transactions have a central clearing house. It protects the counter-party, right?

So, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange is in the business of clearing futures transaction. They would be a great fit for clearing OTC [over the counter] transactions. It would be good for the counter-parties, it would be good for the CME [Chicago Mercantile Exchange]. Oh, and it would be good for the people that sit on the Board of Directors. People like Jackie Clegg who sits on the BOD at the CME. Ms. Clegg serves as the Managing Partner of Clegg International Consultants, LLC, an international strategic consulting firm.

Guess where Ms. Clegg's pillow resides? Well, the answer is right next to Mr. Dodd's. Yes, Ms. Clegg is married to Mr. Dodd.

Now, if Dodd can get all of the OTC business pushed through the CME it will have a direct impact on the holdings of the shareholders of the CME. And being that Ms. Clegg is on the BOD at the CME she is also the proud owner of shares in the CME.

I wonder if the pillow talk in the Dodd/Clegg bedroom ever gets around the subject a central clearer for OTC products.

Sarah, what do you think?

Obama and his Chicago mobsters have been trying very hard to take business away from NYC and move it to Chicago. They were all set to go with a Chicago board that was going to trade energy cap and trade futures—until the global warming scam hit the fan and it evaporated.

Earlier, of course, he failed to get the Chicago Olympics.

I think those two failures, and others we don’t know about, were what forced Mayor Daley out of office.

I think Daly was told to vacate the position for Rahm or suffer the consequences. Just another mob deal, nothing personal.

That could very well be. My thoughts were he was asked to by the powers that be not seek re election because the dancer wanted the job. He said he was not seeking re election to be w/his family - now he’s very busy at a law firm. Thanks for the info about the Chicago board and their intentions.

Their attempt at groveling for the Olympics with their mob mentality were an embarrassment. They whined and dined going over and ate crow on the return trip.

My thoughts exactly. Make room for a new dance in Chicago but with the same old music.

The story was that Daley and his friends bought up the land where the Olympic Village was supposed to go. So they probably suffered some financial pain.

The Olympics was Daley’s big payday. If Chicago would have gotten the Olympics he would have left the Mayor’s office and become the Olympic Committee Chairman ... that is the guy who hands out all the contracts. He would have cashed in big there!

The city is broke. There is no money left. Daley got $1.8B for the parking meters, and it was supposed to last 20 years ... it lasted 18 months. There is no more money to throw at Tadin. Time to go sit on the beach of the Michigan Dunes and enjoy.

I thought I read that the Chicago Exchange was seriously looking to move it’s operation over the increase in Illinois and Chicago Taxes.

That would be a hoot, if they manage to shrink Chicago instead of expanding it.

There was a lot of talk about a Chicago exchange to trade carbon credit futures a year or so ago, but it fell apart after the NWO guys met in Helsinki and Latin America and couldn’t come to any agreements.

The global warming fraud has really suffered a setback, thank God.

Sarah Palin! She is the person who talked about Capital Cronyism, regardless of party. This is despicable. Tom Daschale’s wife was one of the highest paid lobbyist between 1995-2005. This is not just a Democratic thing. This federal government and its members really believe they are above all else. We should have an election where we vote for only people who have never held public office or excepted a paycheck from the public coffers.

They probably still will. They owe it to the shareholders. Why would they pay taxes in Illinois for a business that exist on a laptop when they take it and plug-n-play in Texas. The CME will probably move everything but its trading floors out of Illinois, or Illinois will a “GE deal” from the state and pay no taxes there like GE pays none in the US

Every indication is that if Palin would have decided to run, Iowa, South Carolina and Florida would be hers from the get go.

Look how good Cain is doing. Imagine what her lead would be like the polls ?

she had a nomination and a Presidency right in front of her for the taking. many of us are upset because she was the only good option. these others guys are either RINO’s or boring as heck. which the exception of cain

I just saw her on Hannity.....she was excellent.

I was leaning towards Cain, but can't get past his answer on Piers Morgans show when asked who he respected the most of the candidates.

His answer....Gingrich and Romney

The Romney answer bothered me.....esp as he dissed Bachmann for 'lacking' leadership.

No she didn’t.

The Republican nomination has been rigged for Mitt Romney.

TEA for Three and Three for TEA.

I think he will throw in with Romney when his campaign fizzles.
