I’d say 90% of the rookie QBs have had better starts. His last 5 minutes of regulation were really good, the 55 minutes before that he stunk. He was 4-14 for 40 yards 55 minutes into the game. The only real positive he had in the first 55 minutes was no turn overs, he missed a lot of open receivers but always missed them to grass.

Yep. Everyone who sees the highlight package tonight and tomorrow will see what he did in the last four minutes and think that he played really well. They won't see any of the first 55 minutes, where he looked simply horrendous. Certainly he deserves credit for a great comeback at the end, but if Denver had been playing anyone except the Dolphins today they would have definitely lost.

As for statistics, to me they're kind of like bikinis. What they don't show is often as critical as what they reveal.

Miami is a horrible team, but their defense isn’t that bad, Tebow had to run for his life most of the day.....if Orton was playing, he would have been sacked probably twice as much as Tebow was.

Yeah given how highlight reels generally only show 5 or 6 plays he’ll look great there.

What surprised me is that Sporano hasn’t been fired yet. You get to the 55 minute mark with a 2 score lead and shutout against a bad team and a QB that’s deadeyeing a completion percentage in the 20s and let them march down the field twice you don’t deserve a job.

It’ll all depend on if Stafford comes back, Detroit has a big fall off at QB and become quite beatable without him, with him they’ll play angry.

Something is happening inside Stafford's head. It started when some in the media started questioning his skills in the game where the defense brought them back by scoring two td's. Now every week he keeps falling off more and more. He's losing his confidence which sucks.

Sparano is a dead man walking, as is Jeff Ireland, their incompetent general manager.

They may keep these guys around until the end of the year just because that's their best shot at a possible 0-16 record and Andrew Luck.

The Andrew Luck competition is stiff right now. I’m not really a fan of mid-season firings, and I like Sporano in interviews, but on the field that team is just bad. And this loss is totally on the coaches, they eased off the defense.

If he can get healthy for next week I’m sure the Broncos will cure what ails him.

The Colts are busy doing their part to keep the "Suck for Luck" competition exciting.

I'll say this for Sparano: at least he looks like he's into the game. Jim Caldwell shows about as much emotion on the sideline as a Buddha statue.

I feel bad for Caldwell. You just know when he took over his instructions were “let Manning do whatever he wants, don’t let the defense give up more than 28 points, all will be well”. He had the easiest head coaching job in the world. Now all of a sudden he has to coach. And actually he’s not done that bad a job, the Colts have been in most of their games, but the personnel just aren’t equipped for this new reality.

The Denver team that Tebow plays for would beat any Florida Gator team by 3 or 4 touchdowns. It’s not the surrounding players, he’s in effect a rookie quarterback who’s going to have some growing pains adapting to the NFL game. I’m indifferent to Tebow, I wish him success like I would any other player (except when he plays the Bears).

I agree; it’s pretty unfortunate for him. The Colts already look to me like a team that has basically packed it in and would be happy to forfeit the rest of the season.

It doesn’t matter if he wins or loses. They hate him because of what he is. ESPN has some especially negative analysts who have never trashed a quarterback especially a rookie or young quarterback like they’ve gone after Tebow.

He’s a successful Christian who must be trashed and destroyed. Nothing would make ESPN and the MSM happier if Tebow were gay, addicted or fathers a kid out of wedlock. If he was maimed or injured they would hold a celebration.

What people need to do is look at the haters. Why such virulent hate. It’s cause they hate themselves and only by trashing good people do they feel better. Envy , jealousy and pettiness.

Try and find the tape or tapes on Ryan Leaf’s or Demarcus’s or any other first and second year player who has been TRASHED during the first couple of years. You can’t.

I’ve been an Aggie and cowboy fan since dandy don’s first years in Dallas and don’t have a dog in the fight as far as Denver. but the outright hatred by the PC media and the analysts going on and on about how he sucks and will NEVER make it because of mechanics don’t remember Terry Bradshaw , Fran Tarkenton Heck even the media darling Romo had a side arm delivery in college that was changed but doesn’t have Tebow’s clutch gene.

The funny thing is that you know they’re going to trash him when they start out with , “ he’s a great guy BUT....”. The Broncos suck , it’s still a team sport and I wish the cowboys would trade for him.

Sorry but that dog doesn’t hunt. They have Steve Young on set, Chris Bergman still gets tears in his eyes when Reggie White comes up, they all love Kurt Warner. It simply doesn’t make any sense that they’d be trashing Tebow because of his faith.

Meanwhile in the first 55 minutes of yesterday’s game he was 4 of 14 for 40 yards and no points. Basically every criticism there’s ever been of him was on display, he held the ball too long, his release was slow, his reads were poor, his throws were inaccurate.

What people need to do is stop crawling up on their own cross. The reality is there’s 10 times as many articles complaining about the supposed hate of Tebow as there are articles critical of him in any way. If the people whining about the hate would just STFU the whole thing would evaporate. All the envy, jealousy and pettiness is coming from the people who insist, in defiance of the rather obvious facts, that he’s hated for his faith.

Miami sure looks like a team dead set on getting Andrew Luck.

Looks like they're going to have to fight Indianapolis for the rights to Luck.
