This is NOTHING. In my world, the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission decides when Halloween is. This year it waries from the 27th to the 31st depending on municipality.

I've lived here for 20 years, and this is the one "local" idiocy I have fought with fervor all that time. Halloween is October 31. Period.

I'll do you one better. Where I live (Taylorville, IL) the town geniuses have declared Holloween to be observed on TWO nights (30th and 31st). Boy, isn't that special? Now I get to worry about vandalism and keeping pets indoors for TWO nights instead of one.
