I saw that and Beck is right. This is all being planned and orchestrated with the goal of collapsing this country. BO is right in the middle of it. My personal prediction is they hope that by the time of the 2012 election there will be so much chaos BO will declare a state of emergency and call off the election. This man is not planning to leave the WH.

"Get a scratch, bleed a little, cut a vein, bleed more, cut an artery, bleed profusely."

Get a cut on your head and bleed profusely no matter what. That's more likely then a protester hemorrhaging all over the street while people take pictures.

Those protesters WANT us to assume serious or mortal injury, we play tight into their hands when do that, especially with no facts.

Rule One: Don't throw $#!+ at men with guns.

Rule Two: Don't stand next to violators of Rule One.

I see this as the begining of the end of this movement, starting in Oakland, a liberal city.

If these radicals are not stopped, we will see violence like we have seen in Europe.

The vast majority of those idiots wouldn't dare get physical with anyone that stood up to them. They are all talk and no action. If they want to get it on, tell them to bring it on.

I did not find any pleaure in serious physical injury to anyone, and said as much.

“Mocking fellow sinners” has nothing to do with it, HiTech RedNeck.

Too many people think this crap is harmless. It isn’t. Look at what happened in 1918 in Russia, resulting in tens of millions dead due to an ideology over the succeeding decades, and hundreds of millions around the world living in bondage.

People in Russia at the time belittled and dismissed the Communists and they got poverty, misery, oppression and gulags.

And they weren’t viewed in many quarters as any more of a nuicance than these “Occupy Whatever” people, until one day people woke up, had their property seized by “The People” and history tells us the rest.

What these people are doing is trying to destroy our way of life, nothing short of it. If they have their way and somehow find a way to gather power and implement their ideas, we are going to wake up one day and find we are living in a modern day reincarnation of the USSR. If you don’t think it can happen, you are mistaken.

So, no. I am not “mocking” them.

Short of serious bodily harm, I believe they should be subjected to whatever privation, discomfort, humiliation and ridicule we can heap on them. They aim to remove our rights as Americans under the Constitution and abolish property rights, among other things.

If we just sit behind our keyboards, we are going to wake up one day and find our way of life taken from us by scum like them. It HAS happened, and will happen again.

Your post is well said and well-written.

It's incredible how ill-informed and politically-uneducated the majority of American ostriches are.

The OWS mobs are just OUTWARD manifestations, almost red-herrings, to distract the public from the SILENT coup going on in this country, a coup beginning actually in the 20's, even before.

The swift, focused progress of the "progressives" (communists and socialists) is astonishing in these past decades. They not only control our government and media, but almost all major institutions.

Yet the public fastens its mental powers on Dancing with the Stars, chatting endlessly on cell phones and living a FaceBook life

Prophets like Glenn Beck and yourself, as the saying goes, are always without honor in their own country.

“I’ve rarely seen the media fight so hard to avoid simply and accurately reporting a massive event that has been copiously documented on video. Liberal reporters love to compare the Occupy movement to the Tea Party. If the Tea Party had ever launched a violent riot in a city, you would still be hearing about it. You most certainly would not have spent the next morning reading sanitized accounts which struggled to call it anything but a riot.”

By the way, HTRN, that wasn’t a rebuke of you, per se, it was more a statement of the way I see it.

And I agree, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a lawsuit against the police. We hear the old framework of A.C.O.R.N. is behind this, and that is one of their tools.

Thanks, MinuteGal. Back in the Eighties, I used to hang around with a guy who said our country was turning into the Soviet Union. I ridiculed him.

Now, as you outline in your post, I am both astonished and horrified at the speedy advances those types of movements have made in this country.

And it didn’t start with Obama, he is just the most outward manifestation we have ever seen of it.

I live 3 blocks from the location of the stand off. Around 7:30 I hear shots--it was the tear gas canisters, pretty loud--I went out over to 14th Street where the mass of protesters was passing by.

As I was standing on the sidewalk someone broke a small window at the out-of-business Geisha bar and ran. Two of the protesters yelled at him to stop breaking stuff.

I went into the street to take some videos with my phone. It was the same type of crowd you'd see at an anti-war rally or something. It was reported that people were throwing things at the police, which prompted them to use tear gas. I spent less than 5 minutes out there, took two short videos.

Later in the evening, I could hear more tear gas bombs. I had to close my windows. Not sure how quickly it disperses, but I swear I could detect tear gas in my condo. 14th and Broadway was enveloped in a huge tear gas cloud and I am downwind. At that point I am certain that all that all the "peaceful" protesters had gone, leaving behind the element that is just itching for a confrontation with police.

Oakland's mayor? In Washington DC at the time. She must have known the cops were going to break up the party. Why leave town? I will not be surprised if she asks for financial assistance from the federal goverment--her reasoning being that since federal policy is being protested, the feds should bear some of the costs. She would probably get it, too.

Too many people think this crap is harmless. It isn’t.

"Occupational hazard" huh? (heh heh heh?)

Anyhow, those crowds aren't JUST Occupiers. What about the poor schmoes who have to be walking through there because of their daily work? Are they going to let the Occupiers make them quit? Stampeding a mixed crowd is really a poor idea, and there are more humane ways such as stink bombs to persuade a large group to move.

I kind of like that idea...but perhaps their sense of smell has been degraded so far by now that they would be impervious to a stink bomb?

Anyway, we can agree that people who have to work or live in the area must be taken into account. I would hope they would have the commonsense and wherewithal to steer clear of the area, if at all possible. But it is possible that sometimes, it just might not be possible, and they could get caught in the crossfire, so to speak.

Well, when you look at where this group of Occupiers wanted to be, you can understand how it would catch other people up in it. That, ironically, is why the police so badly wanted them gone from there. People’s patience at these silly latter day hippies is wearing thin, understandably. But I do insist that “Yeehaw, let’s stampede them” may not be optimal crowd control philosophy. Oh, and some of those stink bombs can be truly vile, by comparison a crowd of Occupiers would smell like roses. But they are non irritating, and non toxic.
