While GWB was in office, HGTV had a program every year about the White House Christmas decorations. My sister-in-law wondered what happened to these shows. Did we just miss them, or has HGTV stopped making them since Obama was elected?
Nor have there been any stories or pictures of any decorating that the Obamas have done in the White House. My SIL and I find this curious. Perhaps there are no Christmas decorations in the White House during Obama's time in office. Anyone know?

The local Home Depot had all the Christmas decorations out on the last week of September. Not sure if that was a national thing, but it wouldn’t surprise me. I have to admit I bought a couple of ornaments at the Hallmark store a couple weeks ago.
I agree completely. I have my TV remote handy in case his smug mug pops up on the screen.
The official White House site doesn’t have anything on 2011 yet, it is still displaying 2010 info.

When President Bush was in office during Christmas they had the Barney cam and it would show their cute little dog running around the White House I enjoyed seeing that as well as the White House being decorated it was a class act!
Every time they display their total ignorance, they remind me of the Beverly Hillbillies. That image just pops into my mind and those people are totally out of their league.
I seem to recall that during the first year this outfit soiled the WH it was decreed that the Christmas Nativity Scene was not to be set up because this WH wanted a ‘Non religious Christmas”...only after a huge outcry was it finally put up in an area where tourists tour the WH.
What else should we expect from closet muzzies.

Our Dollar General has had Christmas stuff since the end of July/ early August. Our W-M since September.
I actually bought a Cardinal ornament in September because they often sell out or just disappear from our store. Our store is already discounting Thanksgiving stuff and it’s not even Halloween yet. It is a case of if you want it you better get it asap or it might be gone.

It’s not when they put out the stuff it is when they start playing the dang music that annoys me.
