Her father, Zulfikar ali Bhutto, was hung. He was the leader of Pakistan back in the 70s. If I remember right, he went through Berkeley and Oxford - which would make him a leftist elitist.
He was overthrown by Zia al Haq, a general who imposed martial law. General Zia was killed in a mysterious helicopter explosion. In the aircraft with him was the U.S. ambassador.
Nawaz Sharif was (I think) the first Pakistani to leave office upright. Everyone before left feet first at room temperature. He’s still bouncing around.
