She’s been carefully guided by someone to come to that conclusion. In a technical sense, one could make the case that the Koran outlines specific rights for women that the Bible does not (inheritance, etc). But it also spells out very plainly woman’s subordinate status. The way I put it in a college paper of mine was, “Before Islam, woman was flat on her face. Islam raised her up to her knees. And that’s where it keeps her.”
