You have to have sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving, but everybody in my family hates sweet potatoes. So now we just put an unopened can of sweet potatoes in the middle of the table. We’ve used the same can for almost 20 years.
My family is so addicted to sweet potatoes that we eat turkey and such on the side. The sweet potatoes are the major attraction.
I’ll take them prepared anyway as long as it includes lots of butter and brown sugar. At which point it practically ceases to be a vegetable, but that’s the point.
Too funny. For those who don't like sweet potatoes but feel the need to serve them, make a sweet potato pie instead of pumpkin. No one will know the difference.
