California ranks 47th among the states in the number of new company relocations per million population, according to the Site Selection magazine's 2011 Top Business Climates rankings.

The relative scarcity of relocations plus California's tax climate – ranked 49th – puts the Golden State at 20th out of 25 states in business climate, the publication reports. California's competitiveness ranks 37th.

Texas ranks first.

Any surprise that California continues to lag in business with its taxes and regulations? Wait until AB 32 is fully implemented.

Anyone want to guess which state is adding jobs now?

Any guesses which state's housing market will recover first?

Any guesses which state is controlled by socialists and public unions?

Site Selection’s business climate ranking is based 50% on a survey of people who decide where companies are going to locate and 50% on such factors as the number of new plant relocations and tax climate.

Texas ranks first on both halves of the ranking, beating out North Carolina, which topped the list in nine out of the last 10 years, Site Selection magazine reports.

(but you probably already guessed Texas topped the list)

And the new Del Taco in Plano opens Today! Yippee. We’re up to like 7 IN N OUT burgers, 50 Carl’s Jr. and Del Taco is on a roll. Now, if we can only get Togo’s sandwiches , Pick Up Stix, and Wahoo’s in North Texas.....I’ll be fully content.

The deal I’m waiting for is the Chicago CME moving to Texas. There have been rumors since the Dem governor of Ill raised taxes. CAT and CME were supposedly livid. Everything is rumor of course, but I heard Perry has made suggestions to the CME. One of the things we are famous for is giving tax abatement’s to moving business. If Perry offers them say 20 years of no property tax, it may pay for the move. How symbolic would that be for Chicago to lose a premier business. I think Cat has already built a plant in Texas, but is still headquartered in Ill. All they would have to do is rent office space and move headquarters to avoid state income tax. That’s basically what Transocean did moving to Switzerland.

Remember when California was The Golden State--the envy of all the world?

Remember when Detroit was one of the world's brightest, richest, greatest cities?

What they are today is what "Liberalism" accomplishes--in contrast to what it promises.

"Liberalism" is a misnomer--newspeak--there is nothing liberal about it. It is in fact a synonym for decadence. It is well on the way to destroying Western Civilization and the United States. If this decadence continues--and is not reversed--Detroit is the future of America--if we're lucky.

The greatest question is whether the American people will wake up, come to their senses, reject "Liberalism", the Democrat Party, and its Propaganda Machine, reject decadence, and restore ascendancy--in time to save themselves--and their children--from destruction

--from the destruction caused by decadence: "Liberalism", the Democrat Party and its Propaganda Machine (the Mainstream Newsmedia).

Interesting. You currently live really close to me. You probably also came from the same area in California that I did. I would love to have the ToGo's here. I really miss those sammiches. ;)

Yes, we don’t live far from the new Del Taco and we are going there later for dinner. I also miss Togos. They are like the IN N OUT of sandwich places. Fresh, quality, and always stacked nice and neat and tidy.

I asked Togos via email if they had plans to come to Texas. Sadly, they said no. They are staying out west, I think they said Pacific Northwest. Wich wich is ok but no Togos.

I lived in Orange County for 20 years, grew up in Hacienda Heights before that. Southern CA for over 50 years and would like to buy a small condo for the summer. Prices are falling even in Orange County and we should be able to pick one up cheap. Then I can hit Togos, maybe as early as next summer! :)

Indeed, I do. I was born and raised in that California.

Unfortunately, it's gone downhill so badly, that I was forced to choose another place for my own children to grow up. Guess where?

I'm clairvoyant. There's no other explanation.

Or maybe it's the drawl and swagger.

LOL .. You know what's funny, is that Texas seemed like home to me, from the moment we got here. Took me a little while, but in time I realized that I've always been a Texan.

I think there's a bit of Texan in every red-blooded American.

I speck yore right. I been told I got a bit of a drawl m’self. Ain’t from Texas, but my great grandpappy fought in the Texas War of Independence—on the side of the Texans of course—so I reckon that gives me the right to call m’self a Ranger—or a son-of-a-Ranger—or...well...sump’n. Doanchew?

Well put 'er there, pard. My great-great-great grand pappy fought in the war with Mexico and was actually held prisoner by them for a time. He later went on to fight on the Confederate side in the war between the states.

His son (my great-great grandpa) was born here in Texas prior to statehood, which qualified his descendants for Texas First Family status. They even sent my dad a nice certificate signifying that. Kinda cool.

Put 'er there.

If the Forces of Decadence succeed in destroying the United States--and they're tryin' hard!--we'll reconvene in Texas.

Hear that, Everybody?
