Heh, I had to do the math to figure out the value of the check. 0.002 dollars total. -1 plus 1=0. Cute. Although you could mathematically argue that it’s not EXACTLY 0, but approaches it.

The equation is in three parts. The first part obviously is two-tenths of a cent. The second part contains an irrational value i, which equals the square root of (-1). The term eiπ equates to cos(π) + isin(π), which equates to 1. And the third term - the summation - equates to 1. So the entire term comes to $2.
