Rooney really didn't like that impression. He was interviewed about it at the time and he referred to Joe Piscopo using an obscenity that had to be bleeped. That was my first inkling that Rooney was a really nasty guy.

His book “ My War “ is very good. Covers his years during WWII. I recommend it highly.
I watched 60 minutes all through my middle and high school years. Andy always made me laugh and he was my favorite part of the program.
when I was much older he often said things that made me cringe or just plan angry. Seems he became a bitter man with a lot of hatred boiling inside. Sad.
