Don’t be too concerned about Kentucky.... we didn’t have much of a choice. This state did elect Rand Paul, too ya know! :-)

There was ZERO chance that Beshear was not going to win the Govenor’s race.. mainly, for one reason: He’s done a pretty good job as Govenor. He’s managed to get the state through some pretty tough economic hurdles WITHOUT raising taxes... he’s not a “typical” Dim.

Meanwhile, the Republican, David Williams, says all the right things... but, just looks and sounds like a sourpuss. He has single-handedly (OVER the will of the majority of Kentuckians) stopped all efforts to allow slot machines to be placed at racetracks. Surrounding states have this. The revenue they generate allows the tracks to offer larger purses.. so, GUESS WHERE THE HORSES GO? It’s a pretty serious issue in a state where horse breeding and racing is a major industry. That issue alone made me not want Williams as Govenor, and I wish he’d lose his Senate seat, or retire... or better yet, change his mind.

The only dissapointment in Kentucky to me was seeing the rat snake, Jack Conway (who lost to Rand Paul) get re-elected to Attorney General. He’s a career politician not worth two spits in a snuff can. But, it was a low turnout election, with a strong Govenor at the top of the ticket. Conway won on name recognition alone... still, a real loss for the state.

This state will STILL vote Republican in the the 2012 Prez race... have now fear.
