Long before the scandal that is rocking the Penn State football program came to light, the school already had lost two verbally committed players from its recruiting class of 2012.
Offensive tackle J.J. Denman flipped his commitment to Wisconsin, and Rochester, N.Y., defensive lineman Jarron Jones switched to Notre Dame.
According to CBS Sports Network analyst Tom Lemming, there are more players on Penn State's current commitment list who could help the Irish.
In my opinion, Lemming said, they should be the guys (Notre Dame) is interested in.

not an anti-Irish note but a “this guy is really tone deaf” note

The only former Florida head coach that will replace Paterno is Galen Hall.
Football uber alles. It just keeps getting worse. Time to dial back ‘scholarships’ for athletes.
Although he returned to Penn State in 2004, AFTER Sandusky had retired (1999)..Sandusky was constantly around the program, obviously spent time with Hall, and ANYONE remotely connected is tainted..did he sense anything? see anything?..nope.. PSU goes outside...a clean sweep, and I'll wager that the ENTIRE coaching staff is let go, as well as many longtimers inside the atheltic department..New broom sweeps clean. There will be a new president, new AD, new head coach, and whenever a new team comes in after a scandal..you clean house..totally..
It may mean shutting down the program for a year, and releasing all of the players to go to other schools....certainly recruiting is already suffering....give the new AD, Coach, etc. a year to get things in gear.
I do think I can see them releasing all the players, and all the recruits. It would be a classy act..and a good way to start to rebuild their reputation.
Hard to just rebuild a team like that in the course of a few months and have them ready to be competitive by next season.
Notre Dame hosted Obama for his abortion speech. They are dead to me and many other Christians.
Always after their luck charms.
