I was just thinking today about JoePa, when informed of Sandusky’s sodomizing a kid in the team shower; and his doing “the minumum” by informing his immediate superior, the AD, and then seemingly taking a multi-year siesta in regard to the matter. From what we’ve learned, he never once even inquired of ANYONE regarding the matter. Nor did he ever sit Sandusky down, look him in the eye and say, “Jerry, you low-lifed bastard! What should I make of the rumors I hear about you abusing young boys right here on campus?”
But it seems like God usually gives a person one last chance to “do the right thing” and clear their name. JoePa’s one last chance popped up just a few years ago, when it was all over the Central Pennsylvania media that some individuals had contacted authorities and accused Jerry Sandusky of sexual assault, etc., and that Sandusky was under investigation.
That was JoePa’s cue to wake the he!! up, go to the authorities with what he had known for years, and try to cooperate in the investigation instead of hiding in the shadows and seemingly hoping it would all just go away.

And THAT, to my mind, is where JeoPa blew his last chance to at least come off APPEARING as though he gave a crap! So henceforth his legacy will be pretty much THIS SCANDAL.
