Amen to your post #14. I too am conflicted about Paterno. I do know one thing though: you want to talk about cowardice, the fact that the board at PSU didn't have the gonads to meet him face to face, esp. after all he's done over the years for that school, really rubs me the wrong way.

For all his faults, at least Jerry Jones had the courage to meet Tom Landry face to face when he fired him.
