Story on escape of Abe Reles on page 1. He was a hitman for Murder Inc. who turned government witness. And by escape they mean fell to his death from hotel window. And by fell they mean may have been assisted by police detectives guarding him,one of whom it turns out was later rumored to have been involved in the then well known disappearance of NY Judge Crater.
