Romney, even if he were the most solid true blue Conservative on the face of the Earth he would not stand a chance of winning for one simple reason — the reason nobody wants to talk about — he’s a Mormon.
Now, frankly speaking, I like Mormons. They are, for the most part, hardworking, patriotic folk who live good clean lives, but there is no getting around the fact that Mormon church history is filled with a lot of unpleasant skeletons. You can bet your last dollar that the MSM is already planning on airing every one of those skeletons, in the most lurid way possible, if he get nominated.
I firmly believe they WANT his nomination because they know that his LDS membership will be a deciding factor in the election. Evangelicals will shun him, Baptists will be uncomfortable, and the great secular unwashed will recoil in horror from some of the stranger tenets of the church.
The fact that the Mormons did not allow Blacks into the Priesthood until 1978 is going to be especially noteworthy considering that Romney's opponent is Obama.
If you think the anti-LDS bigotry is bad now, just wait. If Romney gets the nomination, it's going to be a thousand times worse. They're waiting for it.

Huntsman Governor of a state that is the Capitol of Mormonism and Reid a -—what? Why did Reid get elected to the Senate from a state like Nevada?

You’re positing that the Dems are engaged in a stealth project, never to be expressed directly, to promote Romney as “the one and only” GOP candidate because his biggest and insurmountable problem would be that he’d have too big a hole to dig himself out of RIGHT OFF THE BAT,and that hole is Mormonism.
