I wanted to share a FACEBOOK private Message I received tonight from an old friend (actually, my first boyfriend) who now lives in Massachussetts. Anyone who is my FACEBOOK friend knows my politics, hence..this..
Hi Hildy, I write to you privately so as not to air our differences in public.
Do you still think much of Herman Caine, [sic] who knows nothing of foreign affairs, and admits it. Is this who should make decisions that will effect the entire world? Do you really not believe that it is the 1% are the ones who the republicans cater to? Do you really believe that they care about "Joe six pack", or just lure him in to believe that he too can have some of that American pie "? I live in a million dollar home and have considerable savings, but still have the heart to care about those less fortunate.I truly believe that the republicans are about keeping the tax cuts for the extremely wealthy and let the poor working schmuck pay all the rest. I find this despicable, and don't mind paying my fair share of tax's, as long as the supper wealthy pay their share. What's your take on this?

Yes it is because when asked about what percentage is a fair share to tax the wealthy on usually they say 25%- 35% then when told the tax is already higher than that they get frustrated and don’t want to listen anymore.
Why don’t you say to him, “Chiropractor, adjust thyself?”

My relatives tricked me into joining facebook so we could keep in touch and catch up.
They are from the south and have voted democrat all their lives because that’s what the family has always done. This makes absolutely no sense to me because so many of them are small business owners.
The only one who wasn’t a democrat was Granny and that was probably because she was up to her eyeballs in scripture 24/7, knew the difference between right and wrong and had the discernment to think for herself.
Several of them kept nagging me to join a facebook page about overcrowding and environmental issues. I kept ignoring the invitation and nobody has spoken to me since.
They fall for everything the media puts out there and have the nerve to tell me “Well, bless your heart!”
I don’t think so!
