Parents of 'Adolf Hitler' Lose Custody of Newborn
ABC News ^ | Nov.19, 2011 | Alyssa Newcomb

Heath and Deborah Campbell, the New Jersey parents of three children with Nazi-inspired names, lost custody of their fourth child 17 hours after he was born, the Express-Times of Lehigh Valley, Pa., reported.

Hons Campbell was taken into custody by the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services late Thursday night after the doctor who delivered the baby called the agency, the paper reported.

“There’s no legal binding court order. It’s basically a kidnapping, but they use different terms,” Heath Campbell told the Express-Times.

The Campbell family stepped into the spotlight in December 2008 when a ShopRite grovery store declined to decorate a birthday cake for their son Adolf Hitler Campbell’s third birthday.

The state took custody of Adolf, along with his sisters JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell and Honszlynn Himler Jeannie Campbell, in January of 2009. The three children have remained in foster care ever since.

A DYFS spokesperson told ABCNews.com in 2009 that she could not comment on a specific case, but said children are only taken into custody if there is a suspicion of abuse or neglect.

“We would never remove a child simply based on their name,” the spokeswoman said.

He could be a spokesman for the Occupy crowd!

If your children can be taken away from you due to the name(s) you give them then what is to stop them from just taking away your children for no reason?

If I knew his middle name was Hitler I would ask,

“Will you quit being a little Hitler?” every time he turns into a a-hole.

The question finally is, why didn’t Adolf’s parents think twice naming him ‘Adolf Hitler’?

I once knew a guy named, Buck. He carried around a copy of his birth certificate because even the teachers didn’t believe that was his real name.

That happens too.

All it takes is an ‘accusation’. Not even proof.

They take your kids and you have to ‘prove’ you did nothing wrong to get them back.

I know because it happened to my daughter in a custody battle.

My son-in-law accused my daughter of being ‘unstable’ so child services removed my grand kids and she had to get a lawyer to ‘prove’ she was innocent.

She won in court but it still didn’t change the fact that it only took an accusation to loose her kids.

Because people name their children after people they look up to and have respect for or simply admire. They really aren’t concerned about how it’ll affect their child for the rest of their life.

What if you came across a boy with the name

Harry B. Smith
or
Seymour B. Jones?

What do you think their middle names might be? How much of a taunting might they get? Doesn’t matter to the parents! Nope! Once they get it in their head to name their child with a specific name nothing will stop them.

Nope. Wrong Buck but he was a redneck about the size of a Nebraska Cornhuskers defensive lineman.

Although the parents have exhibited very poor judgment, I cannot see any basis for the state to take away the children. What law allows New Jersey officials to take away the children? The names are bizarre. The children may have difficulty in life with these names. I do not see any legal precedence for taking away the children. Is there an official banned list of names?

Barak Hussein Obama?

I know I’d never give a name like that to a child of mine.

Could you imagine the taunting the poor kid would go through in life?

:0)

Must not be since the MSM doesn’t seem to know who he is.

Or at least they say.

If anyone heard Clayton's sessions with Billy Holiday, they would take a liking to the kid.

Isn’t that a recurring theme of “News of the Weird”, of stuff done by first and/or middle name of wayne?

Yes, it is, as well as being a recurring theme here on FR. Now I've just read a hilarious crime novel by Rick Gavin titled Ranchero, about chasing white trash small time hoodlums in Mississippi, which has a character with a middle name Dwayne. Highly recommended.
