McLaren's Lewis Hamilton has braced himself for a backlash from Felipe Massa fans in Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos. The duo have had a string of acrimonious bust-ups this season, clashing six times with tempers boiling over twice as Massa called for his McLaren rival to be banned for his ruthless driving.

Formula 1 teeters on the edge of another series of rows after Bahrain was shamed by an international investigation into the crackdown on protesters this year. The kingdom still has a place on the 2012 F1 calendar, even though Bernie Ecclestone, the sport's commercial rights-holder, was forced to abandon the grand prix there this year after opposition from teams and sponsors. The Bahrain Grand Prix is scheduled to be held on April 22 but many inside the paddock are unconvinced that the country will be ready for such a large international sporting event only a year after the uprising.

Robert Kubica, whose contract with Renault expires at the end of the year, could make his return to F1 with Ferrari despite ruling himself out of the start of the 2012 season as he struggles to recover from the horrific injuries suffered in the rally crash which almost cost him his life.

Interlagos looks set for a major revamp for 2012 as part of safety improvements being made in the wake of fatal accidents earlier this year. Track officials have been pondering redesigning the run out of the last corner, as well as the pit lane entry, after two drivers were killed in separate stock car accidents.

On the formula 1 topic, and seeing as its the Brazilian Gran prix, Im going to watch the documentary, Senna, again. Such a great insight into his life and the brilliant driver he was.
