E. When the government apprehends an illegal alien it should confiscate all their illegally gotten gains (anything they have earned or bought with those earnings) for the governments use by sale or actual use. Ounce this enforcement is begun self-deportation will ensue.

cut off the benefits and they will self-deport or not, their choice.

And you give the enemy an excuse to demonize you as some on this very site have sought to do. Please, can we try a more strategic method first? If you make it impossible for them to gain a living, the vast majority will simply self-deport. We`ve seen it else where, let`s try it on a national level now. As Rush says, “strategery”, or finesse if you like, let them do the work for us.

And a law that says that anchor babies cannot be the reason for allowing any illegals the “right” to stay in this country. The illegals can either take their annchor babies back to their home country and the kid will have the right to return to the U.S. after they’ve turned 18, or the illegals can permanently give the child up for adoption before returning to their home country. It’s their choice, but either way... they gotta go.

I'm about to lose it over people who will step away from their principles to support someone who has quick answers and challenges debate moderators.

I once was on the Newt bandwagon (before he stepped away from the Speakership....and I found out that the reason he refused to support those who were impeaching Clinton was the fact that he was up to the same "stuff" with an intern that was about the same age as Monica!)

I also found out that Newt sold out his own people that he helped get elected on a couple of bills!

What a guy, huh?

Now back to the illegal immigration debate - what about unemployment between 9% - 14% don't you people understand?

What about all of the other laws that illegals break besides crossing the border; get jobs, steal, purchase and use stolen I.D.s; sign up for social programs and get benefits you pay for; and not the least of which at least 6 M of the home loans that have taken a dive, were given to illegal aliens.

Yes, most of the problems stem NOT from the people who cross our borders to get the goodies given to them from our elected and unelected bureaucrats - with OUR MONEY!

Dammit, it's not about "humane" or "inhumane," it's about America is BROKE and one of the major reasons is the fact that we have somewhere between 12 to 30 illegal aliens sucking benefits from those of us paying our taxes. You will note I did not say "working and paying taxes" because illegals ARE working, at least many of them but they are NOT paying taxes, how can they, they are working with illegal documentation and usually being paid under the table, so what this means is they are working at YOUR job, if you are unemployed and not paying taxes.

We conservatives had better not think about supporting anyone who wants this abomination to continue - not if we want to save our country.

Or just get the agriculture dept. and the government off their backs. WE invented the combine harvester, the cotton gin, the farm tractor-you have heard of John Deere, yes? In spite of all the pressure, some of the best agricultural equipment still comes from America. We did it before, we can do it again!

I know the Grandpas and Grandmas too (First Gen Illegals... been here for 40 - 50 years)

What do you do with them? Treat them as a Group? As a Class? .... or like we want to be treated and recognized as “Individuals”

Many things have changed in my short life and many things will change in my future... but one thing I do know is that trying to change the Past is only accomplished by War and then Winning that War so you can re-write History and that reminds me too much of a few characters that we killed during WW2. Our Present is what it is, can’t change the past... move forward and make the best of it.

There’s far more of us than them and we can’t afford to wait until the government invents tomato pickers cheaper than Mexicans.

Yeah and then you have localities where liberal activists want restrooms and picnic areas built at Home Depot for day laborers...encourage illegal immigration...tax evasion...(like these people are paying taxes on wages) ...and wonder why we have a problem.

>> There has been a great deal of discussion over the issue of illegals and amnesty.

Actually, I haven’t heard much discussion of the issue. When it’s raised, the candidates defer to securing the border at which point the discussion ends.

Don’t suggest all that. You’ll eliminate Perry, Romney, and Newt. Their cheerleaders will fall into depression.

They`re second generation or more, so I guess you mean they`re natural born American citizens, yes? Does that answer your question?

I have an idea, since we seem hell bent to violate the principles of Ben Franklin’s famous ‘those who would trade liberty for security, were deserving of nether’ why just stop with electronic employer verification and national IDs?

Let’s just tattoo all US Newborns and Citizens with 666 on their foreheads.

And I am not exaggerating to make a point.

Because, at the rate we are going, you are all going to be begging the government to do it anyway soon enough, so let’s just go all out fascist right now and give the last of our liberties away so we can feel safe about our jobs and border.

I’d rather get it over with now, than continue to watch what has happened to conservative principles of limited government in the last decade, all in the name of this post 9/11 we need security fascism.

Its part of the vetting process to help determine that the next POTUS is more in line with the best interests of the Republic and not the progressives (internationalists).

The additional labor costs aren’t going to explode the price of a head of lettuce, however often that is claimed. When you count what small share of the retail price goes to the farmer, then count in all of his land, equipment and other costs, kicking up labor another buck or two an hour isn’t going to break any consumer’s bank.
