Clear Channel Bay Area Talk Shuffle

Clear Channel has announced it will be realigning the programming at its two San Francisco Bay Area AM’s on January 3, 2012.

The “Fox Newsradio 910” KNEW branding and calls will move to 960, though most of its current lineup will remain at 910 which will become “Talk 910” KKSF.

New lineups:

The new lineups for each station will be as follows: Talk 910

6am-10am: Armstrong & Getty (simulcast from sister 650 KSTE Sacramento)
10am-12pm: Clark Howard
12pm-3pm: Tom Sullivan
3pm-6pm: Local Host To Be Named Later

Fox News Radio 960

6am-9am: Glenn Beck
9am-12pm: Dave Ramsey
12pm-3pm: Randi Rhodes
(HUH? Not conservative!)

3pm-6pm: John Gibson
Evenings: Alan Colmes (again, non conservative)

The Progressive Talk format currently heard on “Green 960” KKGN will remain available on 103.7 KKSF-HD2.

Note that you'll need a special radio to pick up the very, very successful liberal talk. But don't worry...I hear San Francisco isn't really that big as a liberal city...

Both these line ups sound terrible. I have heard most of those talkers and they are terrible.

Rhodes may not be Conservative, but she’s owned by Clear Channel, just like the rest of the national lineup on that station.

Other than Tom Sullivan, Glenn Beck, and John Gibson, the rest of the lineup sucks. Here in Rapid City, SD, which has two talk stations, one station has Thom Hartmann on in the evenings and Michael Savage up against him on the other. I’ll pick Savage over everyone else on the radio dial here in the car, but when I am at home in front of the computer, I’m listening to Mark Levin.

They’re keeping John Gibson? That is the most tired and predictable show in all of talk radio. His promo should be, “I insult Obama and then take calls only from enraged low-educated socialist blacks, 3 to 6 every day, right here on KNEW, 910 AM!”
