The kindle burnings will take up less space, though!

My favorite writer growing up. I believe I have read every one of his books...or had...haven’t seen any lately. :(

I like paper books: the feel, the smell of the ink

This is why I say that paper books will never go out of fashion.

He allowed the movie to be made and distributed on digital media.

The book, why not? More people would rather watch the movie adaptation.

Ray Bradbury wrote a short story called “Kaleidoscope” that I read when I was about 12, and it has haunted me all these years. It’s good to know that one of the real Masters of the genre is still kickin’.

Seems funny to respond to my own post; but...

I too, love the feel and smell of a ‘real’ book. But my kids gave me a Kindle last Christmas, and I have so far read a half-dozen books on it. The big plus for me is the ability to adjust the size of the print. I am 71 years old and the eyes are not what they used to be.

When the SHTF you're not going to have the power to charge up your little e-reader. My paper books never run outta' juice.

When paper books go out of print, it can be a chore finding a paper copy. An electronic book will always be available for download as long as at least one person per year thinks it's worth reading.

try carrying hundreds of paperbacks in your bugout backpack

Good point, unless of course your SHTF scenario includes an EMP event. :)
