In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
callithumpian; adj.
noun Chiefly Northeastern U.S. 1. pertaining to a shivaree. 2. Midwestern U.S. Also called callithump parade . a children's mummer's parade, as on the Fourth of July, with prizes for the best costumes. Also, callathump.
Etymology: 1855–60, Americanism ; compare earlier callithumpian band assembly of noisemakers on New Year's Eve, British dialect gallithumpians disturbers of order at Parliamentary elections, probably equivalent to dial. gally to frighten (as in gallicrow scarecrow; akin to Old English agælwan to scare) + thump + -ian 1836, U.S. colloquial, probably a fanciful construction at one time designating a society of social reformers, then in reference to "noisy disturbers of elections and meetings," and most commonly "a band of discordant instruments."

Not only that, according to the Sunday talk shows, it is LEGAL to sign a recal petition as many times as you’d lik. It is up to the person being recalled to find the duplicate signatures. The libs are having petition parties where they sit around with a phone book and sign multiple petitions with the names of people who are not there.
