the potential for mischief with LENR is disconcerting. If everyone has virtually unlimited energy available to themselves, could we even survive? I'm concerned with both governmental misbehavior, and what a reckless neighbor kid might do with this stuff...

I'm concerned about con artists using LENR to sucker people out of their money.

Liberty 1970 is right. If everyone had a 10kW water heater / genset CHP, who’s gonna pay ConEd exec salaries? And two or three water heaters together could make a WMD... of some kind.

it's probably much more important to be concerned for con artists who peddle hard narcotics ~ they trick people out of their money, and then their lives.

I reserve my ire for situations where murder occurs ~

I am as well. Remember when the fact that he wasn't soliciting investors was proof of his device. Now, he's looking to collect 10,000 suckers investors and no one eve notices which shell the pea is under.

From PP:

What is LENR?

LENR is a form of nuclear power
However, LENR is NOT cold fusion
Transmutation products most consistent with neutron absorption process
Decay products readily thermalized
Gamma rays are screened out
Very likely linked to the resonance of the hydrogen in/on the metal lattice
Despite claims to the contrary, devices that can be turned ON/OFF not yet demonstrated

Wasn't LENR originally called, "Lattice-Enabled Nuclear Reactions (LENR)???? from: You tube presentation Well worth watching.

There also something unusual going on, they publish their experiments so that other could try to repeat them and other have recreated them. Why, that's a wonderful idea, why doesn't Rossi do it?

Why is it now called Low Energy Nuclear Reactions?
