If this is how the police are spending their time, then we have too many police. I think we need some huge budget cuts in the police department.

The cops were doing their job. I once lived in an expensive apartment building that had nice people living in it (which is why I paid a fortune to live there.) A few months after I moved in, I noticed there was a stream of men who would drop by the apartment of the woman down the hall from me and stay for about an hour. It was obvious my neighbor was a prostitute and that these guys were her customers. I would end up in the elevator with strangers who were going to pay my neighbor to have sex with them. I mind my own business and if there had been only a couple of guys a day, I wouldn't even have noticed. But the guys came steadily, which meant my apartment house was a magnet for lowlifes. I called the police and they ran the woman out of town within a week. Nice job, boys.
