One may not be able to hold prayer meetings and the like, but there is nothing stopping anyone from praying.

One may not be able to hold prayer meetings and the like, but there is nothing stopping anyone from praying.

*****************************************************

Under their own ‘Rules’...Congress begins each day with a prayer offered by the chaplain after the session opens.

Sure anyone can pray in silence or whispering but there are no longer any community prayers offered at the beginning of the school day.

Christmas Carols that mention Jesus are no longer sung in our schools.....now the songs are about snow, reindeer, winter weather, jingle bells, but not the real reason for the season.

From the US Constitution: Free Exercise Clause
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. (Amendment 1)

So we now have ‘prohibiting the free exercise therof’....under the guise of not offending someone.
