Compare and contrast the performance of Tim Tebow of the Denver Broncos with that of Tony Romo of the Denver Broncos.

When the game is on the line, you just know that Tebow will be clutch. When the game is on the line, you just know that Tony Romo will choke.

Not to dismiss the play of Eli Manning tonight, but Romo could have won this by completing a pass.

Romo, of course, “plays” for the Dallas Cowboys. The mistake is my own — inspired by the performance of Mr. November tonight. Rob Ryan’s defense was not exactly inspiring when it counted.

? WTF happened? I wasn’t watching but saw a headline about 10 minutes ago that the Cowboys were in control of the game? What happened?

When Brees takes to the field, there's palpable confidence exuded. With Romo, there's only the question of what bone-headed mistake he's going to make.

The traditional December swoon of the Dallas Cowboys is now well underway.

Romo got them into position for the FG, it got blocked. Really Romo was pretty solid all night, the team just didn’t put the bow on it.

And the remnants of Garrett icing his own kicker last week were used against him again this week - which might have just psyched him out of the NFL...

Jason Garrett, the Ivy League "genius" from Princeton, mishandled the game yet again. There's a lot of responsibility to go around, but Romo is the centerpiece of this motley crew.

With the two minute warning on the horizon, Romo overthrew a wide-open Miles Austin that would have salted away the game. And, to add further insult, in an echo of last week, Dan Bailey kicked a 47-yard field goal that would have tied the game. The Giants called a time out to ice the kicker (this time it wasn't Jason Garrett). On the second try, it was blocked...and so...THE GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT...THE GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT!

Oops...wrong Giants. :-)

Cowboys again snatch defeat from the jaws of victory as only they seem able to with such regularity and make this lifelong fan wonder why I started watching again...

Really. I could not care less about the Cowboys, but it hardly belongs all on Romo.... a stop by the ‘D’ or a successful field goal at the end and Dallas could win either in regulation or OT.

Teams don’t win too many games in the NFL giving up 37 pts so it can’t all be blamed on Romo.

By any objective comparison Romo far outshined Tebow in his play, even allowing for “clutch” situations. Tebow is on a bubble. If it doesn’t break, I fully expect angels to come down and take him straight up to heaven after a 10-7 superbowl win on a last second 65 yard field goal.

So naturally, I’m rooting for the guy.

I work with a Romo fan, and another fellow that is Vietnamese.
On day there was a cricket missing a rear leg spinning around on the floor...

The viet guy points it out to the Romo fan and says “wook tony womo”!!

I almost died laughing!

I believe that Jerry Jones really did sell his soul to get the three Super Bowl wins back in the 90's. That last win against the Steelers in SB XXX seems so long, long, long ago.

True. I'm bias, but I would much rather have Brees than any other quarterback playing today.

Romo;s numbers are good, but, I've said more than 1000 times, he can't win the big game.

Lack of defense. Inability to run for first down with the game on the line.Lousy closck management. Take your choice....

One of the folks I was watching the game with said, “If you look closely, you can actually SEE the angels push the ball through the uprights.”

The only reason I enjoy the whole Tebow thing is the way he pisses off so many people in the NFL.

Looking at it objectively, you're right. Tonight wasn't like the opening season Jets game where the debacle was solely on Romo.

I just heard (on the Ticket, naturally) that Romo's QB rating was 141 tonight with 4 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. That said, there are field generals (like Tebow which triggered this vanity) that just inspire the whole team. Romo's numbers were good tonight but he doesn't rally the team and make everyone play beyond themselves.

Well, that would explain the difference between the Cowboy effect and the Tebow effect.

Lack of defense.

It's probably just me, but it appears Rob Ryan gains 15 pounds a week just in the gut.
