She already said she’s not running.

I HIGHLY doubt this. What are the registration deadlines?

By the way, welcome to FReeRepublic...where we LOVE the Tea Party!

I'd love to see that reflected in the polls. None of the above should always be an option in polling.

My dream poll of GOP voters would have all candidates fighting it out in single digits, with none of the above running away with the field. That'd send a message.

Only way is if they delegates bolted from the nominee and voted her in...and many states they are legally bound to cast the votes for who won their state. I’m not sure how that would work or if it’s even possible.

How do you get in and win some primaries if you didn’t meet the required registration dates?

Actually he isn’t crazy, it can happen.

Only 15% of the needed delegates are selected in this current early primary season because of rules changes. The majority of delegates is back loaded than front loaded as in years past. Someone can get in by mid February and win

If it gets to that point and the result is a brokered convention, I am apprehensive that the resulting ‘dark horse’ will turn out to be a Jeb Somebody.

[The GOP just seem determined to lose 2012 like they did 2008 and 1996.]

Palin was on the edge of a perfect wave. She had very cleverly positioned herself as well as anyone could have at the time.

Then she stopped. Dead in her tracks.

It made no sense at the time and still does not other than one thing and that is that she had some kind of deal killer in her past. Something nudged her away.

The registration dates have passed or may as well have passed for 1/5 to 1/4 of the delegates. Anyone entering now would have to be able to get an organization together to get signatures and get on the rest of the states, hoping to win by huge margins to overcome the huge hole they would be in.

Unfortunately several important ones have passed. Sadly, the field in front of us is what we have to choose from and if we keep waiting for some mysterious dark horse to jump in, we don't fight the battle in front of us. At that, I wouldn't be surprised if stories like this are put out there to keep people waiting instead of fighting.

I still HIGHLY doubt this.

Plus, this is the NYT and they are part of the anti-Tea Party crowd who are very discombobulated at present...because it looks as if Romney is not doing well.

At one time, I would hope that this could be possible...not anymore.

‘I think all the candidates should attend the Trump debate’

‘I think more people should listen to Ron Paul...’

End of my infatuation.

Dear NYT Troll....why not have an account here and stay with it instead of making one TODAY and then acting like your a freeper posing some though provoking question when you’re actually trolling for an original thought?

Actually other conservatives have meantioned this possibility or slight possibility of a brokered convention in this election cycle. It really hinges on Newt, while he is basking as being the last “viable” anti-Romney, he is not organized across the country, he’s just starting. Newt himself admitted that he can win if he is discipline enough, and the way its looking it’d going to be a protracted primary season and it’s Newts mouth that MAY get him in trouble in the long run, if that happens then we’ll have about 4 candidates muddling in the low teens to 20’s and no consensus

Sarah and Rick Perry are all too content right now to let Gingrich and Romney beat up on one another for a while longer.

Yep...I’m aware of some of these rumors....but I don’t put much stock in them right now.

I think that support from the people is growing quickly for Newt. Those I know here from the Tea Party are already planning to start fighting for him...precisely so that, LIKE 2010, WE THE PEOPLE, make the final decision, rather than a few people in DC.
