I'm sure they can afford the X-ray, it's the lorry and strecher bearers that would be expensive. Dat's a BIG dog.

Besides, if it's a broken toe, they X-ray it, say "Yep, it's broke, don't do that anymore, stay off of it", bill you and send you home.

For broken ribs, broken fingers and toes and other small stuff like that, I don't even bother for that diagnoses anymore. Live with it.

Arterial bleeding? Blood from the eyes, ears? probably. Major limb fractures? Sure.
