Palin knew beyond all doubt, that she has been vaulted to a level of sainthood that she could not live up to

And if she lost, especially in the primaries, what would that do to her book sales, reality shows, personal appearances, speech requests, etc, etc, etc?

Whom of the following governors quit before the end of his or her term?

Ronald Reagan
Mitt Romney
George W. Bush
Sarah Palin

Successfully cut budgets, great. But you know the DNC would run an ad saying “Sarah Palin. She said she’ll fight for you. But she quit...A quitter never wins.” Yes, she had her reasons, but she chose to not finish her term. Who knows,
she could make a great President. But she’ll have to get by that, and oh, the fact that she chose not to run.

Those are the most awful attempts at an ad I have ever seen. Makes her look evil.

People need to get a grip.

Federal funding (On the record)

In her State of the State address on January 17, 2008, Palin declared that the people of Alaska “can and must continue to develop our economy, because we cannot and must not rely so heavily on federal government [funding].”[104] Alaska's federal congressional representatives cut back on pork-barrel project requests during Palin’s time as governor; despite this, in 2008 Alaska was still the largest per-capita recipient of federal earmarks, requesting nearly $750 million in special federal spending over a period of two years.[105]

Budget, spending, and federal funds;

In June 2007, Palin signed a record $6.6 billion operating budget into law.

Palin is not the pure saint you so worship. She is the same as most all other Politicians.

She couldn’t win anyway, that is why she didn’t run.

Methinks you are projecting the reason your pitiful candidate should not have run. I doubt if it's true about Palin, but if it is, at least she would have polled way beyond the 5% of your candidate.........

Romney was barely present his first two years in his one term in office—and then he started running full-time for president.

Palin could have finished out her term at the expense of AK, but with the politicized legislature she knew her lt. could get more good done.

I would like to thank you for your comments. They were very “informative”. I was asking for comments from Palin fans but hey, a wide variety of “thinking” comes into play in FR (cough-cough).

The race is over, Romney will win. The Horse is dead, it cannot get back up to run.

Hey, you did everything you could here on FR to convince people not to support Palin. Where on earth do you get off whining about Romney's rise?

from the same blog. Unintentionally hilarious. I have to keep telling myself this is not from The Onion or Cracked Magazine:

>>Governor, I'd like for you to know a few things about the path that those of us that are still hoping you'd run are going down. We've been kicked out of once-friendly Palin groups on facebook. Groups that we've been a part of for years. We've been told that we are not "true supporters" because we "are not respecting your decision." We've been called names; this would fall under the category of "nothing new" if it weren't for our former, fellow Palin supporters being the ones to call us those names.

We've been told that we have no clue how American politics work. We've been told to shut up and sit down by just about every fragmented supporter of every candidate that is out there or has been out there.

Yet, still, here we are.

We are not leaving until we hear from you.

(OCCUPY WASILLA!--rr)

We know you didn't ask us to be here. Can we, at a minimum, elicit some response from you...other than you NOT deleting our posts from your facebook wall? We've seen you delete the posts from others who have bad-mouthed our "Sarah Palin's Earthquake Movement" page. We know that you've blocked some of these naysayers from posting on your wall. This is part of what keeps us moving forward. We're planning to run a television ad in the local Des Moines, Iowa market within the next couple of weeks. We can't run it as much as we'd like because we're not going to have the financial support that a group like C4P can bring in. Why? Because they have moved on. Even they no longer support us. Yet, you still allow our posts on your facebook wall. Why do none of these other Palin supporters not recognize this fact?

Please, Governor, if you're done...so be it...you're done. If you're in...I'm gonna need about a months-worth of sleep before I'll be able to help you out any more than I already have tried to do.

Please send notice soon. :)

Signed, Exhausted.

Run, Sarah, run!!!(end) ------------- Laugh My A-- Off!--rr

Some of you cult of Palin people are like creepy stalkers. Geeze, leave the woman alone. She said no. She meant no. Sarah isn’t running for President. Running for office is a tough job and a person really has to want it, she doesn’t. Leave her be.

You don’t even have a pitiful candidate. You are so pathetic you still make yourself into a sorry little fanbois sucker every time you gal snaps her fingers to sell another reality TV show. Oh man. LOL

yep, that is a true loser.

Now go back and watch your silly defunct videos of the “Neverending Undecided” while you open your wallet. LOL

One of her three budgets had an increase, but the others were decreases—as was her last compared to her first.

No other modern pol matches that record.

Well, I’d say 1, 3, and 5. And the ending of 5 is important, if you want people in Iowa to write her in.

I certainly agree with the ads. She’s the only one out there capable of turning this huge mess around.

Santorum is conservative, but lacks the strength of communication. Bachman is conservative, but really ought to be doing her job in the House—which she was recently elected to do.

Sarah is head and shoulders above the pack.

Reality has always passed most Palin supporters by......

LOLOLOLOL!!! [^)

This, lurkers and readers, from a FReeper who was part of a group that posted hundreds of comments filled with outright lies ("windfall profits tax") and deliberate partial-truths ("she quit!") in order to discourage support for Palin among FReeping conservatives. The REALITY of both those issues was ENTIRELY DIFFERENT than the fantasy that Psycho and others presented.

Hilarious! In a very sad way.

Sure I have a candidate. Newt and Perry are the only two that can beat Romney and I'll accept either because they could actually win.

The others (like yours) are just dividing the conservative vote and allowing Romney to walk through the door like McCain did. Actually, I think your candidate is just trying to raise their profile and raise money to help become a good GOP bot.

Congrats to the biggest loser.....you......
