Earthquakes involve the release of potential energy which has been built up by tectonic plate movements. Unless we can prevent tectonic plates from moving (big hint: we can’t) the earthquakes *are* going to happen. If not now, then later. But eventually they will occur - with or without global warming.

Going from freezing to liquid changes the weight? Who knew?In liberal math land ice floats on top of water so it HAS to be lighter.
AND
A gallon bucket filled with snow weighs much less than the same bucket filled with water.
And here in Florida, the Keys are still above water so all the melting ice and rising seas must not have reached here yet.

earthquakes *are* going to happen. If not now, then later. But eventually they will occur - with or without global warming.They're claiming deeper and therefore heavier oceans (due to ice melt, sea level rise) will cause an intensification of earthquakes. For all we know, heavier oceans might actually suppress tectonic activity to some degree. (assuming here that sea levels are actually rising)
