Dumb enough, possibly. But some are crazy enough. My one and only encounter with a chemtrail conspiracy theorist was at a gun show. I don't remember what he was selling, and I don't remember how he even got on the subject, but he believed that the government was producing these chemical trails in order to thin out the population. This was being done, according to him, because the government couldn't afford to pay Social Security to all the people who had it coming.
His solution to counter-act the chemicals in the chemtrails was to drink from a large jug of water that contained silver dollars (a poor man's diy colloidal silver?).
