Daily Presidential Tracking Poll (-18)
Rasmussen ^ | 12/28/2011 | Scott Rasmussen

Posted on 12/28/2011 9:18:11 AM PST by Signalman

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 23% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -18 (see trends).

There is a substantial faith gap in perceptions of the president. Those who rarely or never attend church give him much higher ratings than those who regularly worship. Christians give him lower ratings than other Americans.

Most Americans say the extension of the payroll tax cut won’t significantly affect them personally, but 60% think it will help the economy. Support for extending the payroll tax cut is tepid.

As 2011 comes to an end, President Obama trails a Generic Republican by just a single percentage point. However, he leads Newt Gingrich by 10. I always appreciate Rasmussen postings. I hate to accept the results sometimes, but they have been spot on. What I fear is Romney posing best against Obama and by that polling
he wins the nomination.

Wish we collectively coalesce around our non-Romney in large numbers soon enough to stop Romney.

I was sick with what I saw in past few days, false messaging and inaccurate reporting seemed to be working. I really hope people are waking up!!!!

We have to be realistic - if FReepers were polled - Obama would have a -100 spread.

Since the ‘generic’ Republican can beat him by 1 point - it will expand once the nominee is decided.

Then we can expect the MSM to go on a NUKE NEWT or MANGLE MITT mission.

One year is a lifetime. Hang on for the long haul.

The Ulsterman Report explains the inflation of Obama’s numbers— a very encouraging conclusion about what is being manipulated and how.
