CCW folks: I've been carrying a S&W Sigma .40 cal for a couple of years and it's just too heavy and bulky. Have looked at both the Taurus TCP and the Bersa Thunder .380 (I know, small, but that's kinda the point). Anybody got experience or recommendations?

I just shifted from a SP-101 in 2” .357 to a Rugar LCP .380 w/crimson trace. I love the SP-101. Probably the best carry gun around, but it much heavier than the LCP.
I love GLOCKs, but they are just too thick for concealed carry with the double-stack
If Glock would make a single stack Glock 27 I’d be all over it. I shoot a Glock 22 and Glock 21 love everything about them, even the factory trigger.
I have the PA63, P64 and CZ 82. I prefer the CZ overall but the 63 seems best for me as a CC.
I usually carry a Glock 30 when adventuring into the ghetto.
I used to carry the other two before I got this LC9
I liked the CZ the best, but it was had for me to conceal in Tx when its 105
The CZ works like a dream.
The LC9 trigger is much improved.
Its a long DA but its smooth and light.
BTW, I think you can fix that DA trigger on the 63 or the 64 with a $4 aftermarket walther trigger spring.
Both are based on the walther PPK.
I just never got around to mussing with all those pins and rear down
Gosh dawg that 63 stings like an SOB!
Take a look at the Taurus 740 Slim .40S&W 19oz. 6+1 single stack Action DA/SA Lifetime Taurus Warranty. You can pick one of these up for $349 Perfect size for carry mine is always in my back pocket I hardly notice its there.
P64 recoil is wicked. If you want true pocket carry i suggest
the S&W 642 in 38spl or a keltec or ruger 32 or 380.
Ive retired the SW 442 now that I have the LC9.
Much less recoil and a more powerful round in the same package size.
Better trigger too.
Not as bad as my LCR .357. That is punishment to the extreme.
I have one of the Bersa Thunder .380 and like it just fine. Has enough weight to be “shootable”. For every day carry, I actually go with my Kel-Tec P3AT .380. It’s very easy to pocket carry, and I’m thinking about adding an ArmaLaser, which keeps a nice block shape so it doesn’t shout “GUN” when it’s in my hip pocket holster.
I think the Bursa safety is a little hard on the thumb. Other than that I like it. For a guy it would probably be no problem. My Kimber safety is easy and smooth. But, I understand the .45 is a little heavy and large. I need to carry something smaller also. I think I want to wear it on my ankle. Being a woman having it in my purse seems stupid. Probably should do both.

Sure did - it rides well IWB, is very accurate, and is reliable.
Thanks for the input - I understand the purse dilemma: I carry my .40 cal in a compartment of a small Eddie Bauer ruck that’s 1) hard to get to in a hurry, and 2) probably screams, “Hey! I’m packin’!”. Thought about an ankle holster myself, but I’m not sure how secure they are (will it slip down and sit on top of my foot).
