Happy New Year everyone. I was happy to see the thread back up today. We have been very busy, so haven't checked in in awhile. December has turned out to be the wettest month we have had in 18 months!! Praise the Lord. Last year was the worst drought since 1880’s. We ended up selling our calves early and around 100 cows. I pray thing will continue to look up for us as we will start calving season in about 3 weeks. Cows are still holding their own, so here we go into another year!! We all have our health, and our faith so looking forward to 2012!! Good to see everyone’s posts. Denco

There you are! I was wondering how the year worked out. I remember early on you were having to haul water and then, I saw, the drought just continued and continued and continued. My heart broke for you. I’ll pray that 2012 will be much better and that calving will go smoothly with a minimum of trouble. GBU!

Praise God for the moisture, I know what it’s been like in many areas. We had a party yesterday, had wanted to be out on the back patio, but the Lord decided we needed more rain and I certainly defer to His holy wisdom. We moved inside, everybody still had a good time.
Good luck with your calves.
